"Miss Kita Kung Krismas"

 

This concert was held in December 1999 at the Karori school auditorium and was the ever first fundraising event done for the Filipino community centre project. Thus, this is the birth of the Bulwagan Foundation Trust. This was also the time when the Wellington Filipino Community Choir was re-launched.

 

It was initiated and organised by Christina Pangaruy (nee Bing Eguna) gathering the members of the choir who sang when the then Philippine President Fidel Ramos visited New Zealand in 1996.  She also asked friends and people from the community to join either to perform or help organise.  She thought that it has to start somewhere and this concert became the beginning...
